Kim Victoria Cattrall (born August 21st, 1956) is an actor from Canada, British. best known for her role in the role of Samantha Jones in the HBO series Sex and the City for which she received five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations winning the 2002 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. In the same role, she appeared in the two films Sex and the City 2008 and Sex and the City 2 Sex and the City 2 in 2010. In the 1980s she was a leading character as a Police Academy Big Trouble Little China Mannequin and Porky's. The well-known actress' performance as Samantha Jones has been a important moment for her professional career. Most famously, she is known for her role in La Dolce Vita, a comedy-drama. It was a critical and commercial success, and it won it the Golden Palm and Oscar at Cannes Film Festival 1960. Before beginning her acting profession as a model, she worked as the Swedish fashion model. She was named Miss Sweden. Then she moved to the US after which she started appearing in various films as minor characters. Her first role that was acknowledged as hers was in the film Abbott and Costello Go to Mars in which she was a Venusian guard. The following year after her role on the screen in Blood Alley she was awarded the Golden Globe in the most promising category for newcomers.
