Dua Lipa was born 22nd august 1995, in London, United Kingdom. After working as a fashion model her decision was to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album entitled "Dua Lipa" in the year 2017. The album reached the third position on the U.K. Chart for Albums. The album released eight singles, among them Be the only I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules (UK number one). The album also climbed to number 6 on the charts in the United States. Lipa received the Brit Awards as a British Female solo artist and British breakout act in the year 2018. Dua Lipa was born London on the 22nd of August, 1995 to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. Dua Lipa is Bosnian origin via her maternal grandmother. Her ancestors can also be tracked back to Peja, the Kosovo town of Peja. Her grandfathers were historians as well. Her siblings are Rina as well as Gjin. The musical influence of Lipa's came from her father who was the singer-guitarist of Kosovan Rock band Oda. At home with her parents, her father would play his own compositions and songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa started singing at the age of five. When she was nine, she started learning to sing. Lipa has performed her cover of If I Ain't Got You and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera, both on YouTube. Lipa signed with Warner Bros. Records a agreement in 2014. New Love, Lipa's debut single was released on August 2015.
